National Assembly elections on January 26

November 18, Kathmandu: The Council of Ministers meeting on Thursday decided to hold the elections on January 26 for the twenty seats of the National Assembly that are going to be vacant after March 4.
“There is a constitutionally obligatory provision for holding the election for the national assembly 35 days before the seats go vacant. Accordingly, the government has decided to hold the elections on January 26, “said Health Minister Birodh Khatiwada.
Likewise, the Cabinet also decided to promote three joint secretaries of the health services to secretary-level positions.
