US Assistant Secretary Lu arrives in Kathmandu

November 18, Kathmandu: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Donald Lu, arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday on a three-day trip.
According to the US Embassy Kathmandu, Lu will meet government leaders and officials and visit cultural heritage sites during his stay.
Similarly, Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs, Kelly Keiderling, will arrive on Thursday and meet with Nepali officials and emerging civil society leaders.
Their visit comes just ahead of the 75th year of diplomatic relations between the US and Nepal.
As part of US President Joe Biden’s top priorities, their visit is focused on addressing the challenges like COVID-19, climate change, and strengthening democracies.
