Chief Justice Rana calls protesting Nepal Bar Association for talks
Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana has urged the agitating Nepal Bar Association and the Supreme Court Bar Association for talks.
Issuing a statement Monday, the Chief Justice urged all to adopt a way of talks to resolve problems seen in judiciary favoring the process of law.
He further called on agitating sides to be responsible to implement judicial rights of the people.
The statement further reads that it was a matter of concern as there were baseless, misleading and false charges unilaterally leveled against the Supreme Court and its chief.
Meantime, regular hearing in the Supreme Court remained affected on Monday as well.
Only 4 out of 10 benches held hearings on 7 cases as many justices boycotted the assigned benches.
Likewise, the Nepal Bar Association continued its protest at the Supreme Court demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Rana.
