UML conducting party’s local level convention today

October 26, Kathmandu: The CPN (UML) is organizing the party’s local level convention across the country on Tuesday.

Ahead of the party’s 10th National Congress, the local level convention of the UML is being held in all 753 local levels. Likewise, the Area-level convention will also be organized under the special constituency on Tuesday itself.

UML central office’s secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang said party Chairman KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to inaugurate the local level convention virtually at 1:00 pm on Tuesday from the party central office in Kathmandu.

Earlier, the UML had conducted the ward-level convention on October 23 across the country except in the flood-hit areas.

As per the party’s new statute, 75 members will be elected in rural municipality and municipality committee, 85 in sub-metropolitan committee whereas 101-member committee in the metropolitan level.

Likewise, the party has summoned its standing committee meeting on October 28 and central committee meeting on October 29.
