Rainfall likely in some areas in country today: MFD

Kathmandu: The weather will likely be cloudy with the possibility of rainfall due to the joint impacts of the low-pressure system in the Andhra Pradesh and around Odisha Coastal Area in India and the developing westerly wind system, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

It will be partly to fully cloudy across the country today afternoon with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in most areas. There is also the possibility of light to heavy rainfall coupled with storms in some areas, said the Division.

Likewise, there is a possibility of snowfall in some high hilly and mountainous areas.

The Kathmandu Valley today has recorded a maximum of 31.8 degrees Celsius and minimum of 18.4 degrees Celsius.
