Radio Nepal starts test transmission from Solukhumbu

October 11, Kathmandu: Radio Nepal on Monday started test transmission from Pattale in Solukhumbu district.

With the commencement of transmission via FM band 98 MHz from Pattale, Radio Nepal’s service has been expanded to Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga, Khotang, Bhojpur, Ramechhap, Sindhuli, and Udayapur among other districts and areas of Province No. 1. 

According to the Executive Director of Radio Nepal Buddhi Bahadur KC, the relay transmission has been expanded in line with the aim of expanding the reach of Radio Nepal to the whole of the country within the period of the 15th Five Year Plan.
