Parliamentary Committee directs government to take effective steps to control black-marketing

October 6, Kathmandu: The National Concern and Coordination Committee of the parliament has directed the government to take actions against the black marketing and price hike of the daily commodities during the festivals.
The committee meeting held at Singhdarbar on Tuesday asked the government to make the market monitoring regular and effective to check the unprecedented price hike.
The Committee meeting presided over by Committee chair Dilkumari Rawal Thapa also direct the government to increase the number of fair-price shops and expand their services by targeting the upcoming festivals.
The committee also asked the concerned bodies to monitor transport services and ensure people’s safe and easy travel during the festivals.
