Govt. in favour of full press freedom: PM Deuba

October 2, Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has reiterated the incumbent government’s support for full press freedom.

Prime Minister Deuba said the government was not in favour of restricting press while inaugurating Galaxy 4K Television on Friday.

He expressed the hope that the television would be more responsible for credible journalism in the competitive media sector.

On the occasion, CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ expressed his hope that media would help retain a strong national unity that accommodates voices of all castes and languages of the country.

Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal’s Chairman, Upendra yadav extended his best wishes to the newly inaugurated television that has begun its regular broadcasting from Friday.
