World Tourism Day: Diplomats from different countries arrive in Pokhara city

September 27, Kathmandu: Ambassadors and diplomats from different countries have arrived in Pokhara on Sunday at the invitation of Gandaki Province government on the occasion of World Tourism Day on Monday.

Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism, Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gyanendra Poudel, Chairperson of Pokhara Tourism Council Gopi Bahadur Bhattarai and others welcomed the diplomats at Pokhara Airport.

The officials have confirmed the arrival of diplomats of Qatar, UAE, Finland, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Germany and other countries.

Likewise, the Secretary-General of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and chiefs of other diplomatic missions are also in the team.

Secretary Poudel said that the ongoing visit of the diplomats would spread positive messages to recover and promote tourism business.
