Five megawatts electricity from Solar Farm Pvt. Ltd connected to National Grid

September 14, Tanahu: As many as 5 megawatts (MW) of electricity produced from the solar grid has now been added to the National Transmission Line.
The power generated by the Solar Farm Pvt Ltd at Belchautara of Shuklagandaki Municipality-5 in Tanahu has been connected to the national grid.

Inaugurating the solar energy project on Tuesday, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal said that the production of energy from alternative sources had made investors happy and excited
Minister Bhusal also lauded the private sector for their contribution to power generation in Nepal.
She also urged all to increase electricity consumption by using electric appliances at home.
The Solar Farm Pvt is the first private sector solar company that has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
