5 megawatt solar-powered electricity generated in Tanahu connected to national grid

Five megawatt of electricity produced from solar grid has been added to the National transmission line.

The power generated by the Solar Farm Pvt Ltd at Belchautara of Shuklagandaki Municipality-5 in Tanahu has been connected to the national grid.    

Inaugurating the solar energy project on Tuesday, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal lauded the private sector for their contribution to power generation in Nepal.

She also urged all to increase electricity consumption by using electric appliances. 

The Solar Farm Pvt is the first private sector solar company that has singed power purchase agreement with Nepal Electricity Authority.
