Nation Children’s Day has been marked on Tuesday organizing various programmes across the country with the theme of Covid Pandemic: Protection of Child Rights is the responsibility of all.
Meantime, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has urged all to contribute to fight against all forms of violence against children.
Addressing a special programme organized at Sheetal Niwas to mark the day, President Bhandari stressed on the need of contributions from all walks of life to creating a child friendly society for overall development of children.
She also highlighted the need of cooperation from all to ensure the children’s right to education and right to vaccination at the time of covid pandemic.
On the occasion, the President also handed over various prizes to the winners of the art, dance and poetry writing competitions.
