MCC Vice-Chair Sumar in Kathmandu

September 9, Kathmandu: A delegation led by Vice-Chair of the US Agency for International Development, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Fatema Z. Sumar has arrived in Kathmandu. 

Vice-Chair Sumar arrived in Nepal for a four-day official visit. Deputy-Chair Jonathan Brooks has also arrived in Nepal with Sumar, as part of the delegation.

Sumar arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 9:15 am on Thursday via Qatar Airways.  Sumar was welcomed by officials from the US Embassy and the MCC office in Nepal.

The security in Kathmandu has been tightened focusing Sumar’s visit.

Sumar went to Kathmandu Marriott Hotel directly TIA. Sumar is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday.
