Supreme Court summons both sides for discussion on case filed by CPN-UML Chair Oli against Speaker Sapkota

The Supreme Court has called both sides to discuss the writ filed by CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli against speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.

Chairman Oli had filed a case against speaker Sapkota after he invalidated the CPN UML’s decision to relieve its 14 lawmakers from their posts.

Chairman Oli demanded that the court should annul the speaker’s decision and issue interim order over the case stating that the speaker didn’t follow the constitutional provision.

A single bench of chief justice Cholendra Samser JBR called both sides for discussion on September 13 without issuing an interim order.
