Health Ministry urges public to test for scrub typhus even they test negative for Covid-19

The Health Ministry has urged people to test for Scrub Typhus even they test negative for the covid-19 as both the diseases have similar symptoms. 

Issuing a notice on Friday, Health Ministry’s Joint Spokesperson Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari said people infected from Scrub Typhus develop symptoms like high fever, headache, joints and muscle pains, cough, vomiting, diarrhea, among others.

Scrub typhus spreads to people through bites of infected larval mites that are found in animals.
