Country records 3,651 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

Kathmandu : The country has recorded 3,651 new cases of coronavirus in last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of infections has reached 787,006 so far. The latest number of COVID-19 cases was detected in course of conducting 16,594 tests across the country. A total of 1,042 cases were confirmed in course of carrying out antigen tests and 2,609 through RT-PCR tests. Similarly, 1,784 people have recovered from the virus in the same period. With this, the total number of recovered patients has reached 671,083 so far. The recovery rate is 93.5 per cent.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 22 more people succumbed to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll has reached 10,115 as of Monday. The fatality rate is 1.5 per cent. There are 36, 288 active cases in the country. Of them, 741 COVID-19 patients are in ICU while 186 with ventilator support.
Likewise, 32,907 patients are in home isolation, 3,381 in institutional isolation and 441 people are in quarantine.
