Government deploys a team to Melamchi for geological survey

August 4, Kathmandu: The government has deployed a team to Melamchi for a detailed geological survey of the area.

Director-General of Department of Mines and Geology, Ram Prasad Ghimire said a five-member squad comprising three from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority and two from the Department have been deployed for the study.

Melamchi has been badly hit by floods and landslides in recent days.
