COVID-19 infection increasing

July 25, Kathmandu: The COVID-19 infection has recorded a gradual increase in the country of late. The country recorded 3,114 new cases in the past 24 hours.

With these new cases, the total infection number reached 779,017 on Saturday.

Similarly, 641,565 infected persons got recovery so far.

Ministry of Health and Population stated that 2,197 infected persons got recovery in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 615 new cases of the virus infection were registered in the Kathmandu Valley alone.

Of them, 421 are from Kathmandu, 108 are from Lalitpur and 86 are from the Bhaktapur district.

According to the Ministry, the Kathmandu Valley has 7,619 active cases.

Sixteen persons died of the COVID-19 infection in the past 24 hours, Ministry added. With this, the total number of deaths caused by the virus infection reached 9,695 in the country.
