Party leadership to decide whether to make or ruin party: Leader Nepal

July 23, Kathmandu: CPN (UML) senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has asserted that it was up to the leadership whether to make or ruin the party. Leader Nepal made such a remark against the top leadership in his party, at a programme organized by the Youth Association Nepal (Nepal faction) on the occasion of 43rd Pushpalal Memorial Day in Surya Binayak of Bhaktapur on Thursday.

The disgruntled leader also figuratively said, “Dark clouds are hovering the communist movement in the country. We must move ahead wading through those dark clouds.” Nepal, also the former Prime Minister argued that a good successor should be born out of youth and said that he was taught that none should run away from the ground whatever the circumstances.

He claimed that the public would vote the communists to the leadership role in governance if they were to review their weakness and go to public correcting their flaws. On this occasion, the ‘1001-member People’s Volunteer’ campaign was announced. The campaign led by Shiva Shrestha will train the volunteers imbibing qualities like diligence, devotion, commitment and working in the best interest of the country and countrymen.

Similarly, CPN (UML) Standing Committee Member Raghuji Panta voiced for respectable unity in the party and spoke of the need for party leadership to enable an environment of trust. Various speakers shed light on the importance and relevance of people’s volunteers.
