Two persons held with Bengal Tiger hide

Two people have been arrested in possession of hiding of the Royal Bengal Tiger from the Singhasan community forest area at Matkauna of Gauriganga Municipality-7, Kailali district.

Those arrested in this connection are 55-year-old Purna Bahadur Budhamagar of Salgari, Mohanyal rural municipality-5 and Lokesh Sijapati of Lamkichuha Municipality-1 of the district, the District Police Office, Kailali said. A team of the Sudurpaschim Province Investigation Team arrested them on Tuesday.

Police confiscated 10-feet long and 6 feet 7 inches wide tiger hide from them. The hide was found hidden inside a white plastic sack one of the two men was carrying. Police is conducting further investigation, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pratik Bista said.
