Country reports 2,328 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hrs

Kathmandu: A total of 2,328 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The new cases were detected from 5,837 PCR tests and 4,296 antigen tests conducted during the same period. With the latest update, the COVID-19 caseload reached 643,580.
According to the Ministry, Kathmandu, Sunsari, Kaski, and Morang districts recorded the highest number of new cases in the past 24 hours.
Similarly, altogether 3,066 COVID-19 patients got recovered in the past 24 hours, taking the total recovery number at 606,666 to date, the Ministry said.
Likewise, 19 people succumbed to the infection in the same period. The number of COVID-19 fatalities totaled 9,198 as of July 3.
There are currently a total of 27,716 active cases of COVID-19 in the country.
