Hearing on writ petitions filed by Deuba to be held in constitutional bench from today

Kathmandu: The writ petition demanding the dissolution of the House of Representatives and the appointment of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba as the Prime Minister will be heard in the Constitutional Court from today.

Thirty writ petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court against the dissolution of the House of Representatives. A writ petition filed by 146 lawmakers, including Nepali Congress president Deuba, has been fixed for the first hearing today.

A constitutional bench led by Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR comprising Justices Deepak Kumar Karki, Mira Khadka, Ishwar Khatiwada and Ananda Mohan Bhattarai will hear the case.
