Israel expresses concern regarding Iran’s new president

June 20, Jerusalem: Israel has expressed serious concern regarding the election of hardline leader Ebrahim Raisi as the new Iranian president.
Israel has said that the new Iranian president, Raisi, should be keenly monitored by the international community, adding that he is the most conservative Iranian president so far.
Israel has also warned that the new Iranian president will increase Iran’s nuclear activities.
Raisi, who is under different international sanctions, became Iran’s 13th president after winning the presidential election.
He is scheduled to take office in August.
