President Bhandari urges the government to effectively carry out rescue, relief and rehabilitation works

June 19, Kathmandu: President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has said the Government should pay special attention towards the preparedness in Natural Disaster Risk Reduction works.

While taking information from the Home Ministry, National Disaster Management Authority and chiefs of security bodies on Friday, about the effects of Natural disaster and works underway to mitigate the effects, President Bhandari said relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction works should also be carried out effectively besides rescue of the trapped people.

President Bhandari also stated that it is the major duty of the Government to effectively carry out relief and rescue works.
