Australian medical aid arrives in Kathmandu (Photo Feature)

June 5, Kathmandu: A special aircraft belonging to the Australian Defence Force landed at the Kathmandu- based Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday bringing a shipment of essential medical supplies to support Nepal in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ambassador of Australia to Nepal, Felicity Volk, handed the shipment consisting of masks, gloves and coveralls were to the Nepali Army’s Lieutenant General Prabhu Ram Sharma, amidst a brief ceremony held at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
The Government of Nepal has appreciated and thanked the Australian government for this valuable support, according to a press statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
