Maoist Center withdraws its support to Oli led government

Kathmandu May 5: The CPN-Maoist Center has submitted a letter to the Parliament Secretariat today withdrawing its support to the government.
As per the decision of the Standing Committee meeting of the Maoist Center, it has withdrawn its support to the Oli-led government.
Chief Secretary of the Maoist Center Dev Gurung handed over a letter of withdrawal of support to Secretary of the Parliamentary Secretariat Gopal Nath Yogi.
The Maoist centre which has been demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Oli for a long time after the restoration of the House of Representatives had not withdrawn its support for the government.
The Maoists decided to withdraw their support after Prime Minister Oli decided to take a vote of confidence from the parliament.
Despite the Maoist centre withdrawing its support, Prime Minister Oli decided to hold a vote of confidence on May 10th, and a special session of the House of Representatives has been convened on the same day.
