Russia positive to send Sputnik V vaccine to Nepal: Ambassador Novikov

April 29, Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday met Russian Ambassador to Nepal Aleksei Novikov to discuss bringing the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V to Nepal.

During the meeting at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar, Prime Minister Oli urged Ambassador Novikov to take immediate steps to import the vaccine to Nepal.

Ambassador Novikov said that his country was positive to provide the vaccine to Nepal.

Nepal has already initiated the purchasing process to purchase the Sputnik V vaccine.

During the meeting, other dimensions of bilateral relations and ongoing efforts to deepen relations between the two countries were discussed.
