All temples at Pashupatinath area to close due to rising coronavirus cases

April 23, Kathmandu: All temples in the Pashupatinath areas including main Pashupatinath Temple and Guheshwori will be closed from today citing the rising coronavirus infection cases in the recent days.

Treasurer of Pashupati Area Development Trust Dr Milan Kumar Thapa said regular worship would continue unhindered in those temples.

Issuing a press note on Thursday, the Trust said the latest decision had come after the issuance of health protocol by the government in line with the Infectious Disease Control Act, for the containment of COVID-19 in the country.
