President, PM extend condolences on Prince Philip’s passing

March 11, Kathmandu: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has sent a message of condolences to  Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom on the demise of  Prince Philip.

President Bhandari stated that on the demise of Prince Philip, Nepal has lost a longstanding friend.

Likewise, Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli, in a message of condolences sent to his British counterpart Boris Johnson, has expressed sympathies on the sad demise of His Royal Highness Prince Philip.

Prime Minister Oli has stated that the contributions of Prince Philip to the cause of humanity will be remembered by the future generations.

Moreover, Monarchs, the heads of states and PMs across the world, both past, and present, have been sending heartfelt tributes following the death of British Prince Philip at the age of 99.

They paid tribute to a life of duty, purpose, and devotion to the Queen.
