CPN-Maoist Center’s four MPs removed from their posts

April 8, Kathmandu: House Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has informed the house about the four MPs from the CPN Maoist center to have been removed from their posts as a member of the house of representatives.

The CPN (Maoist Centre) had filed an application at the Federal Parliament Secretariat demanding to scrap the posts of lawmakers Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Lekhraj Bhatta, Prabhu Sah and Gauri Shankar Chaudhary as they quit the party.

Meanwhile, on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma, Oli Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Leelanath Shrestha presented the annual reports of the Madhesi Commission and the Tharu Commission for the last fiscal year in the meeting.

The House also observed a-minute silence and passed a condolence motion over the demise of former vice-chairperson of the National Assembly Aishworya Lal Pradhnanga.

Likewise, in the special hour of the parliament meeting on Thursday, the lawmakers drew the attention of the house speaking to make the house work effective.

Speaking on the occasion, CPN UML Lawmaker Lal Babu Pandit drew the attention of the house toward halt of works 65 different bills pending in the house.

Similarly, Law Maker Gagan Kumar Thapa drew the government attention towards incompletion of various development projects.

The next meeting of the House has been scheduled for April 12.
