Domestic flights at TIA affected for past four days due to bad weather
April 8, Kathmandu: Domestic flights at Tribhuvan International Airport have been affected for the past four days due to bad weather conditions, said the airport office.
However, international flights have been operating smoothly. A number of domestic flights to their destinations like from TIA to Pokhara, Janakpur, and Simara has been affected as a result of low visibility due to dense smog, including in the Kathmandu Valley, said General Manager at the airport Pratap Babu Tiwari.
TIA general manager Tiwari said the visibility is also good in the absence of thick haze and the flights were operating regularly.
According to him, flights are operating regularly from airports across the country, except Pokhara. Flights could not be operated to and from Pokhara for the last three days and this has caused inconvenience to the passengers.
