Chinese Vaccine Vero Cell administered (Photo Feature)

April 8, Kathmandu: The Covid-19 vaccine ‘Vero Cell’ started being administered on Wednesday.
The 800 thousand doses of Vero Cell vaccine developed by Sinopharm were donated to Nepal by the Chinese government.
The Government of Nepal (GoN) had decided to administer the Chinese vaccine to those involved in the operation of emergency services, traders working across the Sino-Nepal border, and Nepali students studying in China or preparing to pursue education with Chinese scholarship.
The frontline health workers, staffs of hotels, workers in trekking agencies and the advertisement sector, internet service providers, professors, sellers of medicines, fruits and vegetables, among others have also been deemed as vaccine recipients.
The GoN has designated 14 hospitals and health centres as the vaccination booths.
