First phase of talk between government and Tharu Welfare Assembly concludes positively

March 30, Kathmandu: The talk held on Tuesday between the government and Tharu Welfare Assembly has concluded positively.

A member of the government talk team, Dr. Rajan Bhattarai informed that the talk was positive. He also said the next phase of the talk would be held soon.

The government had formed the talk team under the coordination of Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa yesterday. Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Advisior Dr. Rajan Bhattarai and former lawmaker Bhagawati Chaidhari are the members of the talk team.

The talks are said to remain focused on 19-point demands put forth by the Tharuhat-Tharuwan Joint Struggle Committee and Central Agitation Mobilization Committee
