Zoo should be linked with conservation education: PM Oli

March 3, Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said coordinated efforts from all are a must for the preservation, protection, and promotion of wildlife.
Addressing the silver jubilee ceremony of the Central Zoo Management organized by the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) at Jawalakhel on Wednesday, PM Oli said the zoo had undergone some good changes lately since the NTNC undertook the responsibility of its management.
The PM said that the central zoo should be used for educational purposes as well.
The central zoo is home to over 1,068 animals of 110 species.
It houses 15 of the 38 endangered wildlife species enlisted as the endangered category in the country.
