Fire destroys 47 houses, displacing 79 families in Dobhan of Taplejung

March 3, Kathmandu: Seventy-nine families have been displaced after houses at Dobhan bazaar of Taplejung caught fire on Tuesday Morning.

Radio Nepal correspondent Mala Paalungwa reported destruction of 47 houses, with displacement of 79 families.

Taplejung Police Chief Baal Narasingh Rana has been quoted that the fire has come under control and relief distribution has commenced.

Meanwhile, Expressing sorrows over the loss of properties in the inferno, President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has urged to manage the relief packages promptly addressing the grievances of the victims.

President Bhandari stressed on need of awareness among people to prevent such untoward incidents.
