Supreme Court’s verdict barred PM to resign from his office: Minister Gurung
March 1, Kathamndu: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Parbat Gurung has said the Supreme Court’s verdict has barred the prime minister to resign from his post.
Unveiling the decisions of the latest cabinet meeting on Monday, the government Spokesperson and the Communication minister Gurung stated that the Supreme Court’s verdict of reinstating the House has mentioned that there was no another constitutional alternative before the Prime Minister except running the government and state. He added, so Prime Minister Oli has no another constitutional option except running the government.
Clarifying that the Prime Minister would answer all the questions to be raised over him in the parliament through parliamentary procedure, Minster Gurung claimed that those demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister had not understood the political and judicial procedures.
The communication Minister also informed that the government was effortful to bring the Biplov-led party in peaceful politics through dialogues.
The Minister informed that the cabinet meeting decided to designate the Salt Trading Corporation Limited also for supplying and distrusting the comical fertilizers.
He added that the cabinet meeting also decided to recommend the president to call the House meeting on the 7th of March and to fix the demarcation of the Fewa Lake. The cabinet meeting has further decided to endorse the National Identity Card and Registration Regulation 2077 BS.
