Nepali, Indian officials hold district-level consultation on border security

February 27, Baitadi: The Nepali and Indian authorities have agreed to exchange information on curbing trans-border crime and smuggling of illegal weapons .
This agreement was reached in the meeting of the Nepal and India District-level Border security Coordination Committee.
The meeting was held in Jhulaghat of India on Thursday.
Chief of Baitadi District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent Narayan Prasad Adhikari said as per the agreement both countries would work in coordination to prevent the criminal activities along the border.
Although it was agreed in the meeting of the Committee held last February to convene the meeting in every three months, the meeting had been held after a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
