Supreme Court to deliver verdict on the 4th March on the official name of the Nepal Communist Party

February 26, Kathmandu: The Supreme Court is scheduled to deliver its verdict on the 4th of March regarding the disputes on the official name of the Nepal Communist Party.
Earlier, a writ petition was filed by NCP Chairman Rishi Kattel claiming the party’s official name stating that other similar names registered were not the official NCP.
Kattel had lodged a complaint against the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ saying their party reproduced his party’s name two years ago.
A division bench of SC Justices Bam Kumar Shrestha and Kumar Regmi decided to give its final verdict on March the 4th after completion of the hearing.
