Nepali Congress leader Joshi undergoes surgery for stroke

February 26, Kathmandu: Nepali Congress leader Nabindra Raj Joshi has suffered a stroke. He was rushed to the Bir Hospital last night after he complained of health complications before taking him to the Thapathali-based Norvic Hospital for further treatment, according to the family source.
According to hospital executive director Rajendra Bahadur Singh, Joshi had reached the hospital at 2:30 am and he underwent surgery for a stroke at around 4:00 am today.
A medical team led by neurosurgeon Dr. Rajib Jha carried out the operation on Joshi. The health condition of a 57-year-old former industry minister is said to be stable.
