Jajarkot village provides financial assistances to newly mothers

February 24, Jajarkot: Chunichande Rural Municipality has provided financial assistance to over 588 newly mothers in the rural municipality. As part of the ‘vice-chair with new mothers’, each new mother has received a total of Rs 2,500 in financial assistance to purchase chicken meat, mustard oil and clothes for the new baby, said officiating chair of the rural municipality Shiva Acharya.

For the programme, the rural municipality set aside Rs 1.4 million in the fiscal year, 2019/20. The programme aims to keep maintain the good health of the new mother and baby, said Acharya, adding that the programme continues the current fiscal year, 2020/21. The rural municipality has launched various programmes targeting the health and nutrition of women and children.
