One million doses of Covishield arrive Nepal from India

February 21, Kathmandu: One million doses of corona virus vaccine have been brought in Nepal on Sunday.

Chief Specialist at the Ministry of Health and Population Mahendra Prasad Shrestha informed that the 1 million doses of Covishied vaccine purchased from the Indian Pharmaceutical Giant, Serum Institute were brought to Kathmandu via Air India aircraft.

He added that the government of Nepal made a payment for 2 million doses of the Covishied and the remaining doses would also be brought soon.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Population has informed that more than 400 thousand people have been vaccinated against the covid-19 in Nepal.

Spokesperson of the Ministry Prof. Dr. Jageswor Gatutam said 402 thousand 2 hundred and 64 people have received the jab as of Sundat.
