One million doses of Covishield vaccine arriving Sunday

February 21, Kathmandu: As many as one million doses of the anti-coronavirus vaccine, Covishield, are arriving from India to Nepal on Sunday.Assistant Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari said that the vaccine would be brought via the flight of Air India at 1:30 PM.
The first consignment of the vaccine is being brought in line with the agreement to procure two million anti-coronavirus vaccines from the Serum Institute of India.
From the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the vaccines would be taken to Teku-based freezing centre for storage.
The vaccines will be administered to people above 55 years of age from coming March 7.
