Govt. to buy two millions doses of Covishield vaccine

February 19, Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal (GoN) has decided to purchase 2 million doses of Covishield vaccine from Indian pharmaceutical giant Serum Institute.
Making the latest cabinet decisions public on Thursday, GoN Spokesperson and Communication and Information Technology Minister Parbat Gurung informed that the government would purchase the vaccines as per the purchasing terms of the vaccine manufacturing company.
The Covishield is the same vaccine that was provided by the Indian government to the GoN in aid.
