Health Ministry directs medical institutions not to increase consultation fees of doctors

February 18, Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has directed the medical institutions not to increase the consultation fees of doctors unilaterally.

Issuing a statement today, Spokesperson of the ministry, Prof. Dr. Jageswor Gautam directed the Nepal Medical Association and Association of Private Health Institution Nepal not to increase the consultation fees of doctors without having ample discussions and homework with the ministry.

Prof. Dr. Gautam clarified that the unilateral increment of consultation fees by the medical institutions could not be accepted.
