Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli visits Election Commission
February 9, Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has visited the Election Commission on Tuesday and acquired information regarding the preparations for the upcoming elections of the House of Representatives.
On the occasion, Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya briefed PM Oli about preparations for the election, the law and order and budget, among other topics.
The Prime Minister suggested the Election Commission office-bearers move ahead of the election-related works uninterrupted.
Prime Minister Oli gave assurances that there would be no shortage of resources along with the arrangement of security.
According to Prime Minister’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa, PM Oli thanked the election Commission, saying the preparation of the commission was satisfactory.
The election will be held on the 30th of April and the 10th of May this year.
