US will remain consistent in its policies for Nepal: Ambassador Berry

February 8, Kathmandu: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha has praised the contribution made by the United States of America to Nepal’s education sector.
During a meeting with US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry on Monday, Minister Shrestha believed that the age-old relations between the two nations would reach a new height in the days ahead.
The Minister added that the US support for School Sector Reform Plan and the development of primary education were significant.
Minister Shrestha also congratulated the recently elected US President Joe Biden and Vice-president Kamala Harris and wished for their successful tenure.
On the occasion, US envoy Berry said the US would continue its support programs to Nepal through multilateral mechanisms.
He clarified that the US had not changed any policies targeting Nepal and the new administration would also continue the development programs and collaboration with the Government of Nepal (GoN).
Ambassador Berry also expressed US commitment to help Nepal in the fight against the Covid-19 pademic.
