Police speed up investigation into incident of Rape in Baitadi district

February 7, Baitadi: The Nepal Police has accelerated the investigation into the incident of alleged rape and murder of a 17-year-old girl of Chadepani in Dogadakedar rural municipality-7 of  Baitadi district.

A team led by senior superintendent of police (SSP) Janak Raj Pandey has started investigation into the case.

Chief of Baitedi Police Narayan Prasad Adhikari informed, a separate team led by DSP at the Central Investigation Bureau was also mobilized for technical support to the investigation.

The girl was found dead in the local lablek jungle on Thursday evening, during a search carried out after she did not return home from school on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, one of the relatives of the girl said that the family would not receive the body until the people behind the incident were arrested.

The family informed  that girl  was found with bruises all over her body and suspected that she had  been murdered after rape.
