Nepal will export electricity in next few years: PM Oli

February 5, Parbat: PM KP Sharma Oli on Thursday vowed to develop Nepal as an energy-exporting country within a few years.

Inaugurating the Khurkot-Dana transmission line and Substation constructed in Parbat district at the cost of about 3 billion rupees, PM Oli claimed that Nepal could sell electricity to India within a few years.

Recalling 16 hours of power cut during his first tenure, PM Oli expressed happiness for ending the load shedding in the country.

The PM also claimed that the government had been working to uplift the economy, sort out political problems, and bolster diplomatic relations.

Also addressing the programme, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Top Bahadur Rayamjhai said the trend of the occupying project has ended following the policy level reform in 2015.
