Health Ministry urges all front-line workers to administer Covid-19 vaccine without any doubt

January 31, Kathmandu: The Ministry of Health and Population has urged all the front line workers or priority groups in fight against the Covid-19 to administer the Covishield vaccine without having any doubt.

Speaking at the regular press briefing at the Health Ministry, Chief of the Child Health and Immunization Section of the Department of Health Services, Dr. Jhalak Gautam urged all the front-line workers to receive the jab, saying the Covishield vaccine had been proved safe and effective.

Dr. Gautam also informed that the common effects of the vaccine seen in some persons would disappear within a few days. He added that no major health issues were reported from the vaccine receivers.

Meantime, Community School Management Committee Federation of Nepal has urged the government to make arrangement to vaccinate School students, teachers and staff in the second stage of the vaccination program against covid-19.

Issuing a statement today, Chair of the Community School Management Committee Federation of Nepal, Gunaraj Moktan urged the government to administer the vaccine to students, teachers and staff to them as the schools are reopening after a long period of closure.
