Nepal will work closely in the climate change sector, Minister Gyawali assures his American counterpart

January 29, Kathmandu: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Thursday congratulated Antony Blinken on being appointed as the Secretary of State of the United States of America.
In his message, Minister Gyawali expressed his confidence that the multidimensional Nepal-US relations would continue to flourish in the years ahead.
Appreciating US cooperation to Nepal’s socio-economic development, the Foreign Minister said that the new US policies, including the emphasis on multilateralism and climate change, would further expand the avenues for mutual cooperation.
Minister Gyawali also conveyed the commitment of the Government of Nepal (GoN) to work closely with the United States in the areas of common interests, including climate action and global health, especially in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Minister Gyawali, in his message, underscored the need for further enhancing development partnership, economic engagement, and people-to-people contact.
